Questions & Answers
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about getting started, scheduling, insurance, and telehealth sessions.
Do you offer in-person therapy?+−
All sessions are held virtually via telehealth throughout New Jersey. This allows us to meet with you from the comfort of your own home, office, or any private space with a reliable internet connection.
How do I schedule a session?+−
You can book directly through each clinician's Headway Care profile, or fill out the consultation request form on our site. We typically respond within one business day to confirm a time for your free 15-minute consultation.
What ages do you work with?+−
We provide therapy for children, teens, young adults, adults, and families. Each clinician has experience supporting a range of ages and concerns, and we will match you with the therapist best suited to your needs.
Do you accept insurance?+−
We accept most major insurance plans through Headway Care. During your consultation, we can verify your benefits and answer any questions about coverage, copays, and out-of-network options.
What is telehealth therapy like?+−
Telehealth therapy works just like in-person therapy, but through a secure video platform. You will meet with your therapist in real time using a computer, tablet, or smartphone with a camera and microphone, in a private location of your choice.
How long are sessions?+−
Standard therapy sessions are typically 45 to 55 minutes. The length and frequency of sessions are discussed during your consultation and tailored to your goals.
What should I expect in the first session?+−
The first session is a chance for us to get to know you, understand what brought you to therapy, and discuss your goals. There is no pressure to share more than you are comfortable with. We focus on building a safe, supportive connection from the start.
Is therapy confidential?+−
Yes. Therapy is confidential, and your privacy is protected by law. There are limited exceptions, such as risk of harm to yourself or others, or suspected abuse or neglect, which we will explain during your first session.
What is your cancellation policy?+−
We ask that you provide at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. Late cancellations or missed sessions may be subject to a fee, depending on your clinician's policy.
How can I contact you?+−
You can reach us by phone or text at (908) 742-4358, by email at growthmindsetconnect@gmail.com, or by filling out the consultation request form on our website.
